Laptop advice

I've got up to 800 euro to spend on a laptop, what i want in a laptop is....

*ability to connect to wireless net
*specs good enough to last 3/4 years
*long battery life

i don't care about games etc

I was looking at a laptop posted in a previous thread,the COMPAQ C350EA

For what you want, that does seem like a good spec.

Compaq are generally speaking, a good brand. It's a Core Duo, so plenty of horsepower and it has 1Gig of RAM - a decent amount. As you don't want games, the integrated graphics will suffice.

You may get a slightly better spec from Dell, but I couldn't find one when I went looking.
