Laptop recommendations

I am in the market with roughly €800 - €900 to spend. I have been looking at both of these:

Both have a free vista upgrade

Would anybody see a problem with the AMD processor v the core duo? I don’t see myself playing high end games and the like – prob use the laptop for ipod, camera, phone, web, skype and word processing.

tonc76, you did what's called thread hijacking. It's better to start your own thread in this situation, rather than people trying to answer both you and the original poster. It can get confusing.
