Saw this article on rte.ie today and thought might interest some of ye.
Channel 4 has decided to stop broadcasting the 'Big Brother' finale live following a spate of pre-watershed swearing.

In future, the last show in the series will be broadcast with a time delay so that offensive language can be edited out.

The decision was made after viewers complained when Nikki Grahame and Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace both used the F-word before the watershed.

British broadcasting watchdog Ofcom ruled that Channel 4 had breached its code because of the swearing.

Ofcom said that, while it recognised the efforts Channel 4 had made to comply with broadcasting regulations, it was "surprising" that the channel had decided not to use a delay.

That's a joke. I actually just don't understand why a results show like this could not be shown live. Fair enough if it was the X Factor or something like that - a family show. But why would people complain about something when there's already live coverage of inside the house with plenty of swearing, fighting, fuc1ng and masturbating! It's big brother for **** sake

It's not "cancelled" as such, it's now going to be on a couple of seconds time delay, which will allow them to bleep any swearing.
