Does anyone have an opinion on what type of wood is best suited for internal doors, varnished not painted.

I shall soon be buying 20 doors for the house (including for built-in wardrobes) so I'm also trying to keep a lid on the cost as well.

People I have already spoken to have different opinions:confused:

Any engineered door will do fine so it's down to your own preference. Pine effect will be probably cheapest but any other timber will not break the bank as an alternative.

Personally, I used oak doors varnished with satincoat and they came out a treat.
