Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have Windows XP home editionthat I'd like to sell (want to change to MCE 2005), I've had to activate it over the phone a few times now due to reinstalls and hardware tinkering. Is this an issue, can it be sold on? How do I know if its retail or OEM. No box, its in an A4 sized gatefold packaging.

    Cheers,
    C

Sounds like an OEM. A retail version would have been bought by you, not delivered with hardware.

OEM software cannot be sold without the hardware (motherboard) that its bound to by license.

Bought it on ebay so I don't know its origin as such.

Check your EULA. You'll find it in the i386 folder (eula.txt). The EULAID at the bottom of the file should indicate if it's an OEM verison. Also run sysdm.cpl. There is a number on the general tab which may or may not contain OEM - i.e. it will be xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx.

    Hi,
I got this a the bottom of the eula:
    EULAID:XPSP1_RM.1_HOM_RTL_EN

and there was no OEM in the number, so its retail?
