Severe water disruption in N Dublin this weekend

What I think is crazy is.. how come we're not finding out until today? I got an email from a friend who lives near me.. but I would have expected it to be on the news.. leaflets through the door.. some sort of warning direct from the council?

The 'news item' on their website is dated Wednesday, but yeah, I would have though something on this scale would have warranted leaflets through the letterbox. (They could have got the crowd who persist in delivering junk mail daily to do it.)
