Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If the phone is locked to Vodafone UK then no it will not work; once the phone is unlocked it will work with a Vodafone IE SIM.

Depends on the make and model.

If you take out a contract, generally a phone company will unlock it there and then as you are guarenteed to spend money with them.

If it is prepaid, they will require you to spend a certain amount-usually about £100- to unlock it.

As I said, depending on model, you may be able to unlock it yourself, or one of those dodgy mobile shops springing uup all around Dublin might!

    Hope that helps

Any decent new Nokia will have to be unlocked by the operator. Same goes for the K800i at the moment, I believe.

Depends on the make/model (i.e. whether third parties can unlock) and the operator (some are good are providing unlock codes, others are not)

Best thing is to post the make/model of what you intend to buy to see if it can be unlocked before you spend your money
