    Hi Folks,

Bought a sony phone from vodafone last november (2005)
Too many problems to talk about, but on its third visit to the repairs,
    They actually lost the phone.
They gave me a new replacement two months ago, which is no better.
Brought the phone back to them and was told it was out of warranty!

After a huge argument in the shop, they reluctantly agreed to repair it because " its within 3 months of its last repair"

Surely the replacement phone has a 12 month warranty also?

Sounds crazy. The new phone (replacement) should have a 12 month warranty. Complain. Phone Vodafone and complain. Write in and complain. And tell them that you're going to move to Meteor unless they fix the problem. That normally gets them moving.

The 'within 3 months of its last repair' is standard with mobile phone repairs. You either get 3 months, or the rest of your warranty, or the rest of you warranty plus the what's left of the 3 months.

I'm not saying it's right, but it is standard.

It's the same on nearly all electrical products.
IMHO it's that way otherwise you'd get people trying to bring stuff back every eleven months and get a new TV, stero, phone, MP3 player, PC etc.
