York Street, Stephens Green

A row of Georgian houses in York street was demolished a while ago. They were pretty run down but wouldn't they have been protected from outright demolition? Does anyone know what the story is? will they be rebuilt as the facade of a new building or are they gone for good?

They were tenements about a hundred years old, in the style of Georgian houses.

I must be on crack because I walk down York street at least 4 times a week and I never noticed that they had been demolished.
