Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know this has been asked probably hundreds of times before but does anyone know how to stop the (barely legal) quiz texts my wife keeps recieving ,and using up all her call credit?

First off she should opt out. Question is though did she ever opt in?
If not get her to send an email to Regtel info@regtel.ie and let them know how much has been credit has been chewed up, make sure you include the timing of the texts and the full content etc and most importantly who it came from.

Now the next issue is where did they get her number? They will argue that they had her number from some previous promotion they ran and will use this as "implied" consent which is pure bollix.

Complain to the DPC info@dataprotection.ie (email must come from your wife) alternatively you can send them a letter of course ;)
State the time and dates she has got the texts, the exact content, her telephone number, your full name and address and also state that to th best of your knowledge she should never have got these texts as they shouldnt have her number...ie its SPAM!

Theres prob 100's of people getting these unwanted texts everyday but dont know what to do. I guarantee you if the DPC / Regtel got enough complaints these lads would change their tune.
