I have my art card now a while but as yet i havent been able to tune it in

my satalite is being pointed somewhere west but i cant get either nilsat or hotbird art channels tuned in.

i have all the other fta channels tuned in with astra so do i need to change the direction of my satellite?

i can pick up some encrypted channels with hotbird or nilsat.

    any ideas?

The satellites are arranged on an arc across the sky, so you can't tune into different sats unless you move your dish.

Nilesat is not receivable on a standard 90cm dish.

Jank, What receiver do you have? It sounds familiar but let us know what setup you have.

You need to get somebody to line up you dish to 13E (hotbird). Unless it is on this satellite you wont have a hope of findind any Art channels.

OK going to do this this weekend, but will this mean once i have it tuned into 13e that i wont be able to recieve any bbc itv FTA channels and the like!

Would I still be able to tune in some of these channels through astra and or hotbird?

nope, the bbc fta channels broadcast from 28east art is on 13east. Only fta bbc on hotbird 13east is BBC world.

    Motor about 100 Euro

    Or

2nd LNB on dish, Adaptor bar and Diseqc switch for under 50 Euro (and a lot easier to install!)
