Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Acer Aspire 5051a Laptop

    Hey all ,

    I’m thinking of getting the Acer Aspire 5051a Wxmi laptop
    Spec:
    AMD Turion 64bit mk36 2GH
    60GB HD
    1G RAM

    I will be using it for development and DBA work.

    My question is there any negatives to the AMD processor over the Pentium/Celeron processors ?
    I know obviously everything is going duo core etc etc ... these days but are there any issues with compatability, performance , overheating? Anyone have this laptop

    any advice ?
