Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vista Problem (RC1)

    Hey,

I’ve been running vista for a while now (maybe 2 months) and haven’t been hugely impressed yet but in saying that I wasn’t too disappointed either until a few days a go, when I was downloading C++ Builder from Borland’s Website, I was using IE7 to download it, when it had finished downloading I opened the file and I got a pop up appearing to tell me to choose a program to open it with ( this seemed strange as it was an .exe or at least I thought it was an .exe) in my rush to get the thing installed I mistakenly selected IE7 to open to program (what an idiot!!!!) but this has had a knock on effect, now when I click on any .exe IE7 tries to open it (WTF!!!!) I can’t even open a command line, Regedit anything like that…

So my question is how do I set the default for what opens an exe? And btw what exactly opens an .exe

Vista version RC1 with latest updates.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

Rename it to a .com file ? As I remember the sequence goes from .exe to .com, worth a try. That said I haven't used Vista yet so don't know the system.

no offence but borland c++ builder is rubbish and so bloated.
