Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Totti's World Cup

I just found this video today and I'm suprised at how many chances he was actually at the heart of. A world cup where Totti got slated by many for being poor. Even the Italians thought he had an average enough world cup. Totti blamed it on his broken foot and rightly so as it wasn't your average injury, playing with 10 screws in his ankle.

    Part 1
    Part 2

I'd say he has the best variety of passes I've ever seen from a player. He takes a lot of risks with his passing so when they don't come off he looks like a fool. This season he's playing the lone striker role at Roma when he's really a number 10 and is the Serie A top scorer with 9 goals.

btw - if you don't like Totti as a person you're not alone so let's leave it at that. :)

Aww! A Totti thread is the perfect chance to further my anti-Totti agenda! Clearly a gifted footballer, there's no argument from me there, but praising him would be like praising Diouf/Harry Redknapp/Materazzi for me. Just can't do it.

I'd put it on par with Bellamy for me. :) I couldn't stand him before he joined Celtic and can't stand him now but I still praised his performances on the pitch. I'd say it's the same for many Irish people on Roy Keane. tbh, I dislike Henry more than I do Totti but I can certainly understand why Totti hated by many after he Euro 2004 incident.

Euro 2004 incident, WC 2002 incident, Carsten Ramelow incident... :)

I'll (try) leave my contribution at that anyway.

There's only a few people like John Giles and Eamon Dunphy who don't rate him. The fact that he's remained a one club footballer this long is kinda admirable.
