    Is it my imagination or is Boards.ie getting slower and slower or maybe it's just the forums I'm using ? ......:confused:

    Pigheads finding it slow today as well. First time in ages its been like that.

    Agh, the auld eating too much tuna causing brain to speed up and make world appear slower trick.

    Boards has been pretty nifty for me the past days.

    Its definetly been a lot slower today than it has been for the past few months. Have had a couple of datastore errors also.

    Seems to be a small bit of slowdown alright, but from what I can see it seems to be related to BT more than boardsie itself.

    Yep, yesterday was slow enough at times for me, this morning is lightning fast, but it's not even 7:00 yet, so the servers aren't too burdened ;)

    I notice it now and again.

    And is it Boards or is it my computer filters that won't allow me to view profiles?
    Kind of annoying when I want to randomly send a PM and there's no drop down.

    Just wondering. Don't kill me!

    yep...your imagination is getting slower

    if your were not such a nice "Bear" I could get very upset over that reply .... :p

    Just now it took me something like 30 seconds to get up the reply layout ..... open a new thread - enter a new forum ..... similar time period

    and yet any other site I use seems fine ......

    I also suspect it's a time thing because speed seems to rise and fall dramatically at different times of the day .... :(

    well ..... one other I use a lot ..... Aviation of course and it's practically an identical setup to Boards.ie ..... lots of forums/users ..... it does have the full search ability and all powered by almost the same source ... Boards.ie Powered by vBulletin Version 3.5.5

    the other one that is so similar and runs like a machine gun ....

    Powered by vBulletin® Version 3.6.4

    During the Footy last night Boards.ie was flying it :eek: ..... so I suspect it is time dependant .... :)

    If it's the one I'm thinking of (pprune), 68k, with an average user/post ratio of 18. (1.2 million posts). Alexa ranking: 23284.


    Taking 85k users for here, Boardsie clocks in a user/post of 64ish (5.5 million posts to October), Alexa ranking 9419.

    Then there's page views etc. This is quite the busy place!

    That's the one Mooney .... I guess it's just traffic ....

    someone on another thread posted a reference to speed tracking at the bottom of every Boards.ie page ...

    example in posting this answer right now is as follows ....
