Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When sky launched the Premiership in the early ninties one of the highlights was the Monday night came, i assume taken from the US, where Monday night football is huge .
There used to be some great games, worth going to the pub to watch -- but it seams to be in serious decline for entertainment anyway, recently :-
    Watford v Sheffield Utd
    Watford v Man City

About as exciting as a trip to the dentist , why are the Monday nights games selected so average , to keep us out of the pubs on Monday ?

Have to agree OP, the last few Monday night games have been pure sh*te and not a great advert for Sky at all.

    Two things:

    1. Last couple of weeks have included Euro and carling Cup ties, so Sky's choice of teams is limited.

    2. That also allows Sky to get the sh*te teams out of the way early doors fulfilling their requirements to show them X amount of times.

The main reason there arent any of the top sides on Monday night is European competitions. Monday nights tend to improve when the European competitions are on a break. Sky are contractually obligated to show every team at least once on Monday night so there will be better games.

At the same time they dont seem to be showing as many Monday night games as before. Saturday noon and evening games seem to be more popular with Sky now. I always liked a good Monday night game but as has been said the last couple have been brutal. Dont expect the next couple to be great either.

That was a Tuesday night game! ;)

As the others said European football for the bigger clubs get in the way of Monday night matches. However, it is well known the big clubs don't want to play Monday night matches anyway, European football or no European football. That's why we mostly get the likes of Watford, Man City, Fulham because they are more than happy to oblige for the money they get paid playing these nights.
