Hi, my car needs a new air flow meter (? I think its called that) but its really expensive in a mercedes garage. I was told I could buy it second hand for around 100 euro. Can anyone tell me where I could buy one?

    Cheers

I had to get the same thing for my BMW a few weeks ago - I only found out afterwards that Bosch make a part that works for a lot of the German cars, and is quite a bit cheaper. I don't know where you'd find this out for sure, but this might also work for your car.

You could try removing it and carefully spraying the element wire with alcohol based cleaner see this link, this for a BMW MAF but should be the same principle

If that sound like too much or if the car is still underpowered after doing it, then try www.otto.ie or even ebay.co.uk

try any auto factors - or one of the German brand specialists - e.g. OTTO.

    M-B don't make them anyway.........

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

    Hi,

Some Mercs are very fussy about which MAF is fitted. Which model is it, year, manual or auto, kompressor or not?
