    Hey guys
I play a lot of poker online and at the moment due to the fact i'm playing on a 15inch screen I can only play one table at a time.
I'm looking to invest in an extra monitor which I can hook up to my laptop and have loads of space to multitable etc.

Firstly I'm not too sure what I'm looking for when looking for the port to input the monitor, I have a Fujitsu Siemens M1425 and on the site it says
    I/O Interfaces
    1 x IEEE1394
    1 x CRT
    1 x TV-Out
    S-Video out
    1 x SP/DIF
1 x Type I/II PC Card slot (32 bit CardBus support)

is one of those where I would put the new monitor?

This is the full link for specs of the laptop http://www.laptopshop.co.uk/fujitsu_siemens-amilo_m1425_rf2188-refurbished_laptop-3-rf2.htm

I am looking at getting a dell monitor like this one http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=ie&l=en&s=dhs&cs=iedhs1&sku=59230

It has been reccomended by various poker forums as a good one for multitabling.
Would my current laptop be able to handle this monitor?

Also I am wondering about how the screen would breakdown space wise if i had to monitors running, ie. could i use one screen to play a computer game and another to run microsoft word etc. or would the computer game have to be played in windowed mode or something to that effect.

Anyway thanks in advance for any advice given.

    regards
    Luke

you wil connect via the, misleadingly titled, 1 x crt port
this is a 15-pin dsub port

it should support that screen and resolution fine

will the fact that the laptop is 1
    5.4" TFT Wide WXGA
    1280 x 800 pixel

    and the monitor is # Resolution : 1600 x 1200 Pixels at 60 Hz

    make a difference?
like would i be able to use the monitor at 1600X1200 or would it be reduced to 1200 X800.

    thanks again

You should be able to use the monitor at it's max resolution if your gfx card supports it. I also advise purchasing UltraMon. It is THE software to have if you have more than one monitor

I was on the site but dont quite understand what UltraMon does that you cant do already? besides the mirroring monitors and taskbar options etc which i wouldnt use anyway

The laptop screen is 1280 x 800, but the graphics card may be able to do higher. Check the specs of the graphics card to be sure.

    Yes, it will, no problem.

that monitor is being reduced to 289 next week, so don't buy it just now!
