Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Franchisor difficulties

Two years ago a certain UK firm ( who shall appear nameless ) had a stand at the Franchise exhibition in Dublin. They sold their system to over a dozen people from around Ireland, and they promised - verbally and in writing - not to sell any more systems in to these areas.

This year, they were back at the Franchise Exhibition in the RDS again , selling the system for half the price , with no royalties and no franchise fee, to anybody anywhere in the country.

What is the position on this ? As an aside, the average turnover the dozen or so Irish operators achieved is only a very small fraction of what the UK firm said was achieved by their operator in the UK. Most if not all of the Irish operators have either gone out of business or else are just part time.

Do the Irish operators have a legal case or should they just put it down to experience ?
