Ok I'm a little bit confused at the moment. Every half an hour or so my broadband seems to disconnect. To get it back connected I have to sign back into msn and troubleshoot. When troubleshooting it says I have problems with my firewall or proxy settings. I've turned off the firewall temporarily and that hasn't stopped it happening. So I'm guessing its something to do with proxy settings or something like that. I've never used a proxy site on this computer or with this connection so I'm wondering does anyone have any idea what I need to adjust to stop this happening?

    Thats just a generic error.

First plug out your router for 2 minutes and then power back on. Also check your AV and make sure its uptodate, then run a check on your PC.

Go to start, IE, Tools, Internet Options, connections, LAN settings, and disable the "Automatically detect network proxy"

What OS, Web Browser, BB company are you with?

*if you are with NTL they use to have a program called BB medic which fixs BB issues
