Help, cheats don't work !

I'm trying to enter some cheats into the PS2 game "Ghost Recon 2", one of the cheats is; Invincibility: Pause game play during a mission, then press L1, R2, L2, R1, Select. I tried many combinations to do it but still no joy. My PS2 is NTSC if that makes a difference? BB

Why not buy a gameshark? It's cheap and it ALWAYS works!
