The Irish Masters which was scheduled to take place on 17th/18th February 2007 will not go ahead. There is a chance that it might take place in the later part of the year.

The West Tyrone event scheduled for 24th February is very, very unlikley to be going ahead. Confirmation should come through before Christmas.

As you may be aware, to continue to be a PDC ranked tournament it must have a prizefund of at least ST£20,000 - which means doubling the current prizefund. And without PDC ranking points few or none of the PDC players would attend the events.

Its not just Ireland. Similar sized events in England have either been scratched or are under threat.

So with the probable cancellation of both these events, are there going to be any PDC tournaments held in Ireland next year?

I was planning on entering them to get some experience.
