Spent last night playing 4 player wii sports with my friends and it was absolutely great fun. One of my friends did get a smack of a wii remote while playing tennis but that just added to the fun really. We didn't finish up till the early hours. Can see many more of those nights ahead....

My Blue light stays on a lot more now since I changed the settings from Dim to Bright somewhere in settings.
And Tennis has to be the best one of them all.Golf is a close second.
I found the rest of the games to require luck more than anything else but ah well
    it's all good.

    *****Zelda Spoiler*****

Am just after meeting Twilight Zelda in Zelda.
    Being the wolf is weird.....
I like Navi's replacement she/he is kinda cool.
    I like it's language also.

Got two Wii systems yesterday (one for me, one for little brother - xmas/b-day pressie) and we spent yesterday with the two of them connected to the internet via my wireless router. We put in our machine codes and waited for the Miis to transfer - we didn't notice that when he used his two controllers with mine for some drunken Tennis, his Miis in his Wii-mote automatically transfered to my system....so I don't even know if there is transfer of Miis via the internet.

Maybe it was the drink but later on, I couldn't help myself and bought Wii points (30 euro - 3000 points I think) and downloaded Golden Axe (800 points). That brought peeps back I can tell ya - it's still a great game and it was playable on the Wii-motes as well!

The download was complete in about two minutes! (Don't know if Ninty servers were just set up better than in the states where there's been grumblings of waiting ages for downloads..)

I had been asked if I wanted to link my nintendo-europe.com account to my Wii and I most definitely did but when I went to the actual site latedr on they had a maintenance page up (must have been mad busy with everyone doing the same at the same time). Here's hoping the stars I have will be of some use now, it looks like they might be now. :)

Had an absolute blast of a time and I've now got 6 Miis on my system with everyone that came around last night. They were all amazed at it as a product and they left wanting one. One guy has never had a console in his life and two others were swapping stories of how their xbox 360 were crashing so much lately (they both have them about two months).

Wifey loves it as well but she's a bit too good at bowling for my liking (I'm crap - haven't had a strike yet!). In fact, the people that don't play video games normally were the best at bowling and baseball and tennis as well....maybe I have to de-program myself...

All in all, I'm really happy I got it and every one of my fears have been laid to rest...I even "got" the control scheme in Red Steel and loving the mayhem that game is. I find that once you treat it as a sneak and cover game, it all falls into place and you'll get used to the controls in no time.

I'm off now to get into Zelda proper so I may not be back to t'internet for some time ;)

Hope everyone's having as much fun as me.

There are two ways to transfer, through Wiimote and through Wii-connect.

When you're in your Mii-plaza, on the right there are 3 symbols. "Mii Parade" "Mii Transfer" and "Mii Friend". Mii Transfer puts your Mii on your Wiimote, Mii Friend lets you ship a copy of your Mii to a friend.

I heard a lot of that alright [re: Wiimote speaker], prior to release. I think it's fine though, and does add another dimension (perhaps Nintendo stole Sony's 4th?).
I turned the volume down a bit on the Wiimote and it sounds a lot better.

Although it's often very crackly - like bad radio reception or something. Sometimes only 'picking up' the last part of a sound.

Is that 'normal'? or are other wiimotes working seamlessly, with full sounds always right on que?

for the blue light to stay on , send yourself an email or "note". Never open it. Voíla, blue light permanently on.
