Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Qtek 9100 and Active Sync - problem

I have a Qtek 9100 which comes with ActiveSync 4.1 on disc. Initially I had problems getting it to recognise the phone, so I downloaded the latest ActiveSync 4.2 and all worked fine for a couple of months.

However, now I encounter an error while syncing the calendar entries. The program just says an error was encountered and quits, not much help there. I tried the ActiveSync 4.5 Beta and it's the same story. I also tried the sync from a different PC with both 4.2 and 4.5 and it always crashes at the same point.

Being a PDA noob, I'm thinking that one of my calendar entries on the phone is corrupt. Am I right? How do I detect this if it's the case? And what else can I try to get around the ActiveSync crashing problem.

    Many thanks,

    Robbie

For what ever version of Outlook you are running download the latest service pack for it, I had strange sync problems with Outlook 2003 and the service pack fixed it

The Phone should have come with Outlook, If you have Outlook 2003 make sure you have SP2 aswell.

Also you might need to Hard Reset the Phone or have you looked into upgrading the ROM ?
