Starting up a new signs business a good idea ?

Hi, A friend is thinking of setting up a signs business, making signs for vehicles and businesses etc. Anyone think this type of business is a good idea, or is it overdone with the existing firms at each others throats ?

I think this idea is overdone in ireland.there are too many competitors, you want to find a fast moving item with a profit nowadays.

barrier to entry is too low. Unless you have a good sales channel or contacts you can fall back on.
