Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thinkpad T42 - Wireless issue

I have an IBM Thinkpad T42, and my wireless is no longer working.

I was doing a bit of XP tweaking, and am not sure if this is the cause. I think I may have disabled some service necessary for running the wireless - it won't even turn on now.

Thing is, I'm not exactly sure where i disabled the service. I went into Control Panel->Admin Tools->Services, but can't see anything there that will help.

    Any ideas?

Is the wireless light on? (It's located just under and right of centre of the LCD screen).

What does [Fn] [F5] do now? Does it still launch the IBM Access Connections dialog? Can you enable/disable the bluetooth radio?

    Go to:
    [Start][Programs][Access IBM][Thinkpad Configuration][Add-on devices].
Select the device tab that has 11 a/b/g/ Wireless.... Is the device status enables?

In the services, make sure that anything starting with IBM.... and Wireless... is enables.

Have you checked the log, to see if XP is reporting any errors?
