40% of internet users outside 01 area can't get broadband - Comreg research

    A “strictly private and confidential” research survey conducted for ComReg has been mistakenly leaked on the net.

    It shows that about 40% of dial-up internet users who live outside the 01 area and who have tried to move to broadband have been unsuccessful (page 38).

    My father is out in Meath (near Kilmessan) and is particularly frustrated with the lack of broadband. Spending several hundred a month on a dodgy internet connection (satellite+dial up.)

    Well in fairness, it is on their website along with a press release. Not exactly secret. I love how Amarach is asking less and less important questions as time goes on. Eventually they're going to be asking people how they are and what are their favourite colours and nothing about telecoms.
