    Howdy,

I'm a journalism student and I'm writing a piece about SSIAs, apparantley most people are choosing to re-invest them and not go on a big spending splurge.

I'm looking to interview a few people whose SSIAs have matured, ask them whether they spent or saved (or a bit of both) and why they chose to do what they did.

If you'd be interested in talking to me, could you PM me with your contact number and when would be a good time to call.

    Thanks!

If it's any help, I'm shoving the lot into the deposit end of my interest offset mortgage...

...to replace the money I spent this June on buying a three-year old Beemer!

It may sound a bit silly, but at least I saved myself the interest on a car-loan.

A quick straw poll around my friends and collegues leads me to the conclusion that people are 'splurging' the money, but indirectly like myself, so there's not as much guilt involved.
