Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Excel "Copy and Paste"

I am able to "Copy and Paste" on cell at a time (excel 98), but when I choose 4 cell's to copy, excel won't let me as it replies"the copy and paste area are not the same size and shape". So I then set all cell heights and width's to be the same and still the same error.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

As far I can remember, you have to selct a range the same size (i.e. 4 cells) to paste into. They don't have to be the exact same size (I think), just the same shape (i.e. 4 in a row or a column or 2x2)

highlight the cells you want to copy and copy them

then click /SELECT JUST the top left cell in the area you want to paste to
it will then fill up the adjoining cells

tip: use paste special , transpose if you want to convert 2 rows x 4 columns into 4 rows x 2 columns

Delphi91, That work's but I don't remember having to select the paste area previously.

Capt'n Midnight, I'm doing exactly as you suggest, but I get the error when I select paste (even paste special).

When following capt's advice make sure only ONE destination cell is selected.
