Accounting, yesterday. Might have passed. Had 22% or so going in, so only need 18/60. Pitty I only answered about two thirds of the paper then.

Numbers and Functions, probably going to be my best exam. It was exactly the same as last years paper, only change was the joke question and the phrasing of one of them. I did last years paper last night to study. Schwing!

Did it, and I thought it was hard enough as well. I got my two questions done (republican freedom & hobbes's common power), but there wasn't much other choice. Cheers for pointing out the Power & Discourse papers btw, I was pretty lost without them.

I did the same questions as you did too.I have to say I think I passed but I didn't like it big time.

Four down, two to go. Sweet.

Both exams went pretty well today. Was a bit afraid for Irish Politics and Policy, since the lecturer has a tendency to ask horrible questions but it actually turned out quite nicely!

Political Communication was fab, as expected. I love that man so much. He practically sets the exact same paper every year!

    Modern Architecture was so lovely.
Frank Lloyd Wright and Le Corbusier both came up!
    Happy! And finished!

Incidentally, well done Sangre. Many years of buying overpriced publications to keep up with irrational court decisions await you!

Absolutely delighted with my exam today, everything I wanted came up and in the exact way I wanted to. Unfortunately my friends thought it was tough so I don't know I how managed to fluke it.

Oh and the totty in the RDS today was superb especially two of the invigilators. Would;)

That was my initial thought but I'd studied like a mofo and I was writing til the end while most of them left after the hour. We'll see come January anyway, speaking of which ...When do we get our results?

Nothing definite but I presume we'll get them first week back since we've got a longer break this year.

Just got my first result back, barely scraped a pass by the skin of my teeth in computers with an A+... phew! :D

Haha, well I am off to Sydney next year and I have 4 subjects to do over there. One of them is Fundamentals of Management Accounting so I don't get off that easy. It doesn't matter what grade I get in it though, as long as I pass.

The Study Abroad kids don't get to avoid all the stuff you'll be doing. We'll be doing the foreign uni's equivalent of them.. but we only have 4 subjects instead of 5 + elective.

managements accounting is not *accounting*, its closer to logistics --> matamatical decision making. I hate accounting but found mang. acc great. Especially since my lecturer was so funny. He was a particularly sarky arrogant git (could be a mod on boards for all I know :P)

Is that cost management, or management accounting Kap? I'm thinking of doing advanced mgt accounting next semester, but I've heard it's tough.

I was a flyer in mgt accounting I though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,885 ✭✭✭Stabshauptmann

Im a bit tired and maybe Im not reading this right but, the evil lime and Umaro are talking about management accounting, which is what you and I have both done already.

Ive specialised in banking and finance for my final year and know nothing about either cost management or advanced management accounting. Though I got basically the same marks in Fin Acc1, 2 (prob 3) and management accounting, Id say the work I put into the latter was the least out of all the accounting subjects Ive done so far. It just suited me I guess.

Someone recomended company law as an accounting elective, but I suppose you're sick of law at this stage. Im doing reinsurance and services marketing (B&Fi do both electives in the second semester)

Results should be out 5 working days after the first meeting of the "school board" (cant think of the name) in the new term. Varies by school, basically your results might be ready for a long time just waiting for the rubber stamp

Yeah that sounds about right. I think most will be meeting around week 2 (well I'm on the Physio one + they want to have one early in the 2nd term, yep I'm rebelling + calling it a TERM!!) so results around week 3, but this being ucd I'd put my money on week 4.

Now I just have to try + sneak a peek @ the programme board... :p (actually I'd say I might hear how ppl do in general I s'pose)

I am, in fact, retarded. Slept in until half eight with an exam at nine, went out into mental traffic and was late for my exam. Forgot to bring my wallet, student card, everything. Despite this, somehow managed to finish the paper. Love my invigilator, she was the nicest person ever. Only time will tell with results. Finally finished...huzzah!!
