Hey there,am just wondering if someone could please translate the lyrics of Let It Snow! into Irish. We are collecting money for SVP on Friday and want to be able to sing it in Irish. Help much appreciated!

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

It doesn't show signs of stopping,
And I've bought some corn for popping,
The lights are turned way down low,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

    When we finally kiss goodnight,
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if you'll really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm.

    The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bying,
But as long as you love me so,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

It is extremely difficult to translate songs, poetry etc between any languages while keeping the same rhythm, rhyme and meaning. I'd just sing the English version if I were you, or a different song in Irish.

    Do a Carol instead

    Oiche Chuain
    or
    Don Oiche úd i Mbeitheil

    or even

    Adeste Fideles in Latin !
