Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

McGrath has not bowled for the most of the day, since well before lunch, and he's got two in 3 balls, where Australia only got 2 all day.

    Cook c Gilchrist b McGrath 116

Nightwatchman Hoggard appears, two balls later...

    Hoggard b McGrath 0

Back to Plan A, Flintoff comes in...

    England 261/5

Well they can't possibly win unless Pietersen sets a second inning record of some sort while the tail wags.

    Rain dance anyone?

    Mike.

    And here endeth the lesson.

    For the record....

    Australia 244 & 527/5d
    England 215 & 350 (122.2 ov)
Australia won by 206 runs and regain The Ashes.

I'd be pissed if I were going to Melbourne and Sydney, now they are dead rubbers. Flintoff said they are playing for pride now..... um, mate, you have none! Its gone! Rebuild for 2009.

If I were England, I'd rest Flintoff until the ODI series.

BBC Sport reporting the news that David Collier, CEO of the ECB will review Duncan Fletcher's position after the World Cup.

Which is what I thought they should do anyway.
