Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

New to this lark so be patient :o

I have NTL cable broadband, and have just bought a new Linksys router
http://www.argos.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=30001&langId=-1&catalogId=10151&productId=654014&clickfrom=image
.... trouble is thought after correctly entering my ISP, subnet gateway, etc all the stuff it asks me, it just won't connect. I get an error message saying it cannot connect to the internet and to try turning on/off my cable modem -which I have done several times. I also get a message on the tool bar at the bottom right corner of my screen saying there's a problem with the 'Local Area Connection 6'....??

Can anyone help, I'm sick to death of trying in vain to get throught to NLT for help, constantly put on hold, and have tried going through the whole set up over and over umpteen times.

    Any takers?

    Massive thanks in advance :p

So do I, I just left the Linksys on "find ip automatically", it will eventually find all the relevant settings and log on to your modem,.

Yea as far as I know you leave the Linksys to get it's ip address automatically. You might need to switch off the cable modem for ten mins or so to release the ip that was originally assigned to the device it was previously connected to (ie your PC). After that it should work.

Let us know how u get on.
