Here is something I seen on another forum (yes there are other forums ;) ).

    http://www.********.ie/vbgooglemapme.php?do=list

Nice little touch to be able to see where people are posting from. You wouldn't know it but your next door neighbour could be on boards.

Is it easy to implement or would it have a negative effect on the speed issues?

Anyway, it brings internet stalking to a new level :D

edit: Why is the site in the censored list?
[Because they're Spammy little bottom-feeding scumbags. Please don't advertise people that are already on our siteban-with-extreme-prejudice list for being Spammy scum. My mouse was already clicking on "edit this user" after seeing that your editted domain name before I realised you're clearly not one of them - Talliesin]

Think its censored because of the owner trading on boards. Not sure though. Surely if people wanted you to know where they are posting from they would just put it in the location of the usercp?

I have used vbgooglemapme. I wouldn't advise it for boards imo.
    Volume warning

high volume of users may slow down the load. Currently a load counter is included.

I was thinking it would probably be too much of a load. Nice idea though.

Not really - if you want people to know where you are, just put it in your profile. I'd rather have no contact with neighbours.
