Just wondering if anyone had a similar prob with their Open Corsa. It starts cold no problem... however if I drive it for a while and then stop for a few minutes for example to get petrol... it wont start again... I have to leave it for about 5/10 minutes.... before it starts which it always does eventually. Battery is brand new, got maintenence done just 2 months ago... any ideas? Thanks

99 is the year and its a 1 litre.... I read in the haynes manual it might either be the air filter... fuel injector or the ingnition coil.... trying to narrow it down though....

My mam had a 99 1.0 litre with the exact same problem. coolant temprature sensor was gone, not that expensive to replace if i remember correctly. common enough problem on corsas.

    Haynes my ar5se !

I would go with what BlueBoy says and change the coolant temperature sensor.

I have a 98 one of the , a 1 litre too for zipping around in. Never had any trouble except the Air Mass Sensor, but thatv a different problem !

I got the sensor in the Opel dealership and my mechanic fitted it in a few minutes,

Wil back up the assesment, I'd say the sensor will cost about 50-60 euro, fitting it should be DIY possible.

The corsa crankshaft position sensors sometimes give trouble also when warm. will bring on the engine management light. is also a simple enough job. sensor is about €40. only changed one an hour ago!
