We have a satelite internet connection being routed out to computers. I'm trying to get into the router using internet explorer but I don't know it's ip address it's been so long since I set it up. How would I find it? I know the range and I've tried a few different addresses on my own pc (wireless) but nothing comes up. I remember I had to use a laptop (wired) last time I tried to connect to it but I'm still not sure about the IP of the router.

it should be the default gateway if DHCP is on

pull up the network settings and it will be in front of you

No I had to set static IPs for all the pcs as it just kept lossing the dinamic ones and interfearing with the satelite modem (which wants to be the DHCP server).

    Found it anyway ipconfig/all

The problem is though, I keep having to repare the wireless conection and I get a low id in Emule.

I entered the ip address in IE and I keep getting

    Gateway Timeout
    The following error occurred:
A gateway timeout occurred. The server is unreachable. Retry the request.

Some days it works better than most. I think I've set something wrong along the lines and the router and modem are fighting eachother.

Satellite is absolute rubbish!! Its slower than dial up!! Sure if you download a single file off a respected site it will get up to speed but latency is so high its useless for games and not much good for a P2P service either.
Its not what you asked but there is not too much you can change in your router anyway. You are limited by your technology.

Ya I know the satelite is slow but I shouldn't be getting timeouts trying to log into the router. All I really want to do is get Emule working and according to what I've read online I have to set exceptions for it on the router.
