not really related to a running version of XP. But use nlite to streamline drivers and updates into your XP CD, its also usefull for filling in all that information they ask you before windows will start (like language, timezone, s/n....etc) so you can start it installing, leave the room, come back and hour later and windows has installed and set up itself. It also has a number of usefull tweaks in there (like setting the number of downloads IE can handle at one time) and you can remove useless software, drivers and settings which you'll never use (who actually uses briefcase anyway?)

Streamlined my version of XP down to just over 400mb's, it installs itself in less than 25 minutes.

This may or may not be what your looking for - some crazy SOB did a video of some very useful settings to steamline XP - not really tweaks - but some of the things everyone should do on a new install...no harm in checking it out at least - and i've found it very useful!
