I have a toshiba TV with no sound output socket. It is reasonably old and I would like to output to double phono or headphone socket. The only inputs are scart and coaxial. I don't think I can get desired output.

Can you output through scart from your TV? If so what do you need.

Yes, you just need a scart adapter with left and right audio out, should be able to get it in most electrical shops. This will have to be connected to a stereo system or something that you can connect headphones to. If the tv's mono you'll only get mono sound or one channel audio of course
