    Hi all,

I just have a quick question.

I had a bit of a prang on Saturday and I dented the front right part of this guys bumper. It was a moulded one. No damage to lights or anything else. Car was a 01 Astra.

I told him to get a price on fixing it and I'll look after it.

Any ideas how much I'm looking at?

    thanks in advance.

If the other guy is happy with a spurious bumper, which would need to be painted and fitted, expect to pay around 250-300 euros, around Cork county anyway, but probably more around Dublin.

I would say more....if he wants a genuine one, painted and fitted correctly, it coiuld be about €650

650e taking the mick (micks garage) :D

Am not good at the jokes sorry.

Front bumper 130e Car L Parts in Dundalk. Paint job and fitting 150e in Opel.

Alternatively because of the age of the car I would get one of from the scrap yard same colour if possible.

    Try Traynors in Armagh.

Astra's are two a penny in this country, there is no need to get new bumpers, should be easy enough to find a second hand one probably in the colour you want as well.

If people are willing to pay twice the price for the job in Dublin I'd seriously consider relocating.:)
