i recorded my Graduation video on a friends DVD camcorder and i have to return the camera to him which leaves me with a DVD disc only, now i need to edit some of the scenes e.g ( take out some of parts and edit some of the sounds as well) of that VOB file - the issue i am having is how to edit those files i have tried to use software such as:

    - CyberLink Power Director
    - MPEG Video wizard

in all of them when i import the vob files and edit the segment and recompile it as AVI or MPEG 1 or 2 the audio and video is out of sync, i need help this one ? is there any good software i can use to actually easily edit the vob file
any help would be appreciated ?

Have a look through past threads, this has been discussed a number of times.

Probably easier to just play it out, and capture the DVD as a DV AVI through a firewire camcorder.
Trying to re-encode VOBs into a editable format is messy if you're not sure what you're doing, and involves a number of processes with various freeware programs....

There is a site, i think its doom9.com or .org that has all the little bits and bobs to download to mess with .vob files etc.
