Hi - I don't know much about engines - my 2000 Laguna cut out twice while i was driving yesterday, once sitting idling at traffic lights and then while driving along at about 40 mph:confused: . Obviously i'll have to bring it into a garage to be fixed but i just wanted an idea of what could be wrong with it.......

    Thanks

I had a 2002 model and same thing happened a couple of times to me. Any lights on ? Needs to go to garage. Cant remember exactly what is was.

Could be a coil, these are a known weak point on this engine. If one fails it will result in lumpy running and stalling. IIRC 4 coils are about 250 quid fitted from a Renault dealer.
