Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We have a load of pdf files that our customer has lost the original Word files for. What's the best way to convert these back to Word?

I know there are utilities that do it but I've never used any of them.

depends on what security they applied when they generated the pdf's

try selecting and copying the text

next step is on a machine with office 2003 or similar print the document to the microsoft document imaging printer thingy - this will generate *.mdi documents that you can ocr with microsoft documant imaging, you can export the text back into word and a bit of the time it will even hold some formatting

if they were scanned in then it's getting messy and you might need some heavy duty OCR
