Any expereince with boarding schools?

There's a lot less boarding schools around than there used to be; you'll find a full list of all schools on www.education.ie.

I'd suggest putting together a list for yourself, remove those schools that don't fit your criteria (single-sex/ethos whatever); check out their enrolment policies and availabillity - that will shorten your list again and then get the prospectus for whatever is left.

Most schools hold an open day/evening as well.
