Putting our mini-dachshund in a dog hotel/kennel for Christmas. It'll be his first time away from us since we got him around 7 months ago. Anyone got any experiences with leaving their dog in these places. I've heard they can hate you afterwards! The place seems ok and he's in a pretty big area with another small dog, this apparently makes it a bit more fun for them. The woman said that they're afraid the first night but then they relax and have a bit of fun for the rest of the week.....Hopefully she's right and we're not picking up an emotional wreck next week!
