Not sure if this would be more suited to another forum.. just wondering if you decided to get a contractor to build your house instead of doing a self build.. do you have to get a contract arranged through a solicitor ? or would people generally just agree certain things with the builder, put it on paper.. you both agree on it and both sign it.. ?

just wondering if the later is used is it a legally bound document in case anything goes wrong in the future?

    thanks

ur architect or engineer will be able to supply a contract, which will be well known to the builder

important that dwgs and specs are very precise as contractor prices work on these so if something is not on drawing or spec he will not have priced for it!
