Nah, not creepy, you see in Germany, at Christmas, a strange leather-pants clad man magics his way into your house and leaves presents by the window...admittedly, rather small and scabby looking presents.

EDIT: I believe Terry Pratchett wrote a book about him originally titled "The HoffFather"
