    Hi guys
I wanted to get me one of them recent Lidl Bluetooth head units, so I decided after unsuccessfully looking for method of original removal to contact the Main dealer that sold car(06 Octy). No help, simply referred me to I C E ltd. Questions I asked were
    a) As there is bluetooth settings on original Stream unit can this feature be "re-activated" and at what cost
    b) How to remove original unit
    I C E were no help either

Any info, guys , appreciated and I'll gladly wait the 6 months or so for a Lidl return
    tnx in advance

Yeah dont get a lidl headunit, do they not over heat over time.

Have you got a pic of the centre console.

There always a way of getting them out.

Sorry can't help with the removal. I got one of the Lidl units. The display is very bright and clear, it's easy to fit and synch with the phone it also works well in a noisy van.

I had one of them Skoda Streams, but I never thought it tasted as good as real Coke or Fanta, or whatever. Me ma threw it out in the end.

Why not mount it in the glovebox and bypass the factory one altogether?

Christ don't put a lidl radio in instead of the OEM Blaupunkt!

The Skoda Radio is a nice clear unit that sounds pretty good. The Lidl one is just a cheap radio with nasty nasty small buttons...I know because I fitted one last week as an upgrade to the original radio in my 1995 mondeo.

Why not fit a parrot bluetooth car kit? That is what I am going to put in my focus, as I really like the standard Ford/Visteon radio in it, and I am not swapping it out.

Don't think it's a Blaupunkt. 'tis one of these Skoda ones I think

I'd stick with the OE radio and get a Nokia CK7W bluetooth kit.

No, the stream looks like the radio in the Golf/Passat, which are definately blaupunkt E.g. this http://www.blaupunkt.com/de/7642233360_main.asp

(although it may be made by someone else entirely!)

Whats wrong with the default radio?
My last car had an after market jobbie and frankly wasn't a patch on the Skoda radio cd I have now in my new'ish Skoda (05).
    If it ain't broke ' ////

The tools to remove the radio are available through the parts department in any main dealer (VW, Audi and Skoda). They only cost a few €. The dealer is talking sh1te if he tells you they are not available.
