Hi I have a new back boiler behind an open fire.

There is a thermo-switch which will set off the pump when the water heats up.

What temp should this be set at -- 70 deg ???

    Thx

    K

If you want to give preference to the domestic hot water, you should set the stat fairly high - 70 or so. If you want to get some heat out to the rads as soon as there is reasonable heat in the fire, you could keep the stat at about 50. There is probably not much point in pumping water, that's any cooler than that, out to the rads. The lower you keep that stat, the longer it will take to heat the domestic hot water.
    Jim.
