I used to love Melanie Safka when I was a teenager, She wrote this great song years ago. I just googled it to post it here, and found out that she is no longer a vegetarian but wrote the song while experimenting with a vegetarian diet. Pity that.

Books wise, you must read in 2007, if you have not already "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser. Brill book.
