My Mate and I got one each in Mullingar, they only had four available (I think 6 came in but some staff had them put away for themselves) Was there at 7.50am but no one was in from the hardware dept. until 9am they finally wheeled out four at 9.20am we got two and then some staff who didn't know about it in advance snapped up the other 2!

    Cheers Jarvis, keep'em comin';)

LOL knew you must of got the info here alright.
Didn't know how to go about asking yer man about it,just as well I spotted you and that box in your trolly.Nice to meet a fellow member.;)

Have mine up and running and I'm one happy camper.
Very pleased with the picture from NTL digital,Sky feed should look even better.
Analogue picture is the same as analogue on any LCD I've seen. Alright but LCDs really depend on digital signals to work there best. Best of all it has no lip sync issues which I've come across alot on more expensive sets.(with NTL dtv feed) Sound is nice and deep with a good bit of power.
Response time seems fine,no blury pictues while watching the football on Sky Sports.
No dead pixels what so ever.:D
Now for the real test.......Going to hook up the Xbox360 and give it a spin.

Well hooked up the 360 to it and it looks damn sweet on 720p with the bog standard cable you get with the 360. No motion blur what so ever.

    No way!
I sort of jumped at the bargain but then got a bit worried after thinking "Well, u get what u pay for..." And all that. So i am pleased that the 360 gives a nice picture. Havent gotten mine home yet as I am at work, but please god the picture will be good and I have gotten a bargain rather than a cheap lemon!

    To quote the manual:
    The resolutions which support PC+HDMI

    VGA 640x480
    SVGA 800x600
    XGA 1024x768
    SXGA 1280x1024....all at 60Hz/70Hz/75Hz.

Is that what you're looking for?
360 picture was great and I think that was via component.

BTW you didn't buy a lemon.:)

    What inputs does it have?

How much of a bargain is this? I mean is this the way things are going? LCD's are always coming down in price. Next month you might find brand names for that price. Or do you reckon we are still a long way off and this is a super bargain?

From a poster above, my local in mullingar is out of them and i did not bother getting one in Dublin earlier... i could always go to Tullamore.

sounds like a great deal, lidl/aldi had 32" lcds a few weeks back for 650euro and they sold pretty quick, don't think you'll find name brands at this price for a long time yet, maybe next christmas there'll be some price approaching this
